Honor

Rondo was a Jewel son.  Rondo earned his IPO BH in 2010 and then his IPO 1 in 2012.  He also earned the first Patrol Dog Title through the National Association of Professional Canine Handlers (NAPCH) in 2012.  He completed this every year until 2017 when Rondo and I retired from Providence Hospital Security Department.  Rondo was normal elbows and good hips through Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA).

Mack is another Jewel son.  He was a littermate to Neeko.  He was trained by his handler Jason Niemczewski “from green to go”.  Mack also retired from Providence Hospital.

Neeko was a Jewel son also.  He was a littermate to Mack.  He retired in 2018 from St. Joseph Hospital and has since passed away.  RIP Neeko, a great career, a good retirement, what more can you ask.

Nikita is a Grim and Haska daughter.  She was trained by her handler, Mark Brien, before he began working for a security company called MSA.  While with MSA, Mark and Nikita worked NFL and MLB games throughout the country.  They now work for St. Joseph Hospital in Ann Arbor.  Mark is in the process of training Nikita’s nephew, Fuse, (Nala/Ritter son) as Nikita’s replacement.  Hopefully he’ll follow in his aunt’s footsteps and be on this page also.

Smoke is a Grim/Kira son.  Smoke was part of an exceptional litter for temperament and structure.   Smoke was retired in August of 2020 and his handler was promoted.  Congratulations to both!

R’eck (Styck v Hoffenmiller) is a Grim/Kira son, works at St. Joseph Hospital and is a littermate to Smoke.  R’eck (Styck), Strike, Smoke and Stogie were Kira’s finest litter with two that work for a living and three of the four going OFA good hips with OFA normal elbows.  R’eck was not tested as he started training for his new job before he was old enough to be eligible for OFA certification.

Onyx is a Jewel granddaughter.  Onyx and Titan were in a litter of four.  I kept back two females from the litter, Pearl and Peyton.   Onyx started life as Pepper and got a name change when she went to work for St. John Main Hospital.

Titan is a Jewel grandson.  Titan started life as Petr but his name was changed when he went to work for Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak.  Titan was part of an exceptional litter.

Ozzy is a Strike/Ziri son, a Jewel grandson.  Strike was a littermate to Smoke and W’reck.  He was kept back as a stud because of the exceptional temperament of the litter.  There were no females in Ozzy’s litter or I would have kept one back for breeding.  Ozzy is Jason’s second dog at Providence Hospital.

Rudy is a Nick (Grim/Haska) and Ziri son and a Jewel grandson.  Rudy’s littermate Ruby is one of the brood bitches in my kennel.  His handler, Jeff, replaced me at Providence when Rondo and I retired.  I had to work on Jeff for about six months before he finally gave in.  He was a previous dog handler, recognized as a Master Trainer through NAPCH, absolutely competent in canine and I was thrilled when he finally gave in and said he would work at Providence.

Xala v Hoffenmiller is a Nala/Ritter daughter and was trained from a green dog to a finished explosive detection dog by her handler before they became a part of Elite Detection K9Logan and Xala were hired to provide explosive detection capabilities in medical settings.
